Vintage and Historic Vehicle Registration for the Ulysses Club Inc.
Motorcycles Eligible for Historic Plates.
1. The motorcycle engine and frame must have been built 30 years prior to the date of application; or as such period required by the residential State of the registrant?s application.
2. The motorcycle must have parts of the period or may have modifications only in matters of safety for example: for lighting, indicators and brakes. Seating modifications may remain optional but must remain roadworthy.
3. On matters of adjudication on eligibility, the application will be referred to the Coordinator. Such applications will require full technical details, engineer?s reports and sufficient photographic evidence to support the application.
Note: The removal of the requirement for rego labels in NSW DOES NOT apply to bikes with Historical Rego. The rego label IS still required for them.
Usage of the motorcycle for the purposes of servicing or road testing is to be within a reasonable distance from the normal garaging address. For other special purpose, permission must be arranged with the member?s Branch Secretary who will issue an approval number and a record of the movement kept.
All motorcycles participating in the Historic Registration scheme must be covered by either current comprehensive or third party property insurance.
The Branch Secretary will keep a Register of all motorcycle details as provided by the applicant. eg Model, frame number, engine number and plate number, as required for purposes of RTA compliance. For the purpose of Club identification the RTA issued number plate is to be fitted with the Ulysses number plate
